Troop 65 assisting with Relay For Life
Burlington, NC
5/17/13 - 5/18/13
We had 10 Scouts volunteer at the Relay For Life event Friday night/Saturday morning. They were a great help to the event and they would like Troop 65 to help again next year. They stayed very busy. Filling tiki torches with fuel, placing out several hundred luminaries (bags, canned food inserted, cup to hold candle, then candle), took down several hundred chairs and about 25 large tables for survivors after their meal, took down all of the luminaries about 1am, bagged and removed trash from about 25 large cans across the baseball field, helped set up and take down a few tents for teams, and finally made complete and thorough sweep of the grounds for Leave No Trace from about 7:45-9am Saturday morning. Thanks to all the Scouts and Scouters who were present!
